1. Define which techniques you tried and mastered? Struggled? 2. How did you draw inspiration from other artists techniques or aesthetics in your work? In what ways did you derive meaning or gain historical perspectives from their work? Why these artists? 3. Describe the evolution of your piece. Decisions made. Compositional elements. 4. If you could consider doing something over, explain why you would do this and what you would do next time? 5. Elaborate on how this piece links with your other pieces? What is the common thread?
1. Techniques I tried was the blending of different colors in the backgrounds and trying out what colors would blend well together. I also learned how to use the select tool and the detail needed when using Photoshop. Also I focused on using different layers and I learned how to create them as well. 2. I had drawn inspiration from other artists when I had looked at other examples of social issues pieces. I more specifically focused on methods that artists would use to convey their message. While I did not explore a specific artist I felt a stronger connection towards artwork that focused silhouettes as it made the person of focus applicable to anyone. 3. Initially in my piece I had not intended to have different colored backgrounds and the swirls in the backgrounds. However after playing around with the platform I felt that it created a different depth to my piece. 4. If I were to do a similar project I would focus zooming in on the smaller petals. Also i would probably have used a darker tone for the background and a lighter tone for the background within the bubble to emphasize bother colors. 5. This piece connects with my previous pieces as they all follow this common theme of "identity". In this piece I took the opportunity to acknowledge the different ways that society molds us allowing us to live within our own bubble without a care for the things that occur around us.
